Strides for Service

We’re committed to improving the health & well-being of our military & first responders.

Our history

Strides for Service was founded in the spring of 2023 by John and Stephen, who sought to give back to First Responders and Military personnel through the shared experience of fitness. By organizing community events such as walks, rucks, and workouts, we bring people together to train, improve themselves, and build camaraderie. Through these efforts, we raise funds for charities and organizations already making a significant impact on the lives of those who serve in our communities.

John has been very active since 2015 participating in over 100 obstacle racing throughout the country meeting many people with the same mindset. Many were military veterans and first responders. In 2023 John became part of a team of veterans, first responders and civilians fundraising for veterans that suffer with their mental health. Eventually hosting his own event raising thousands of dollars. John knew he can do more and with the help from his family and close friend Stephen started Strides for Service in July of 2023. His mission is clear, support those affected with mental health issues.

  • Founder

Stephen is owner and operator of American Made Performance gym in Stony Point New York.

Working with, and training first responders and Military has always been a passion, and when it came time to continue the help to make sure that those who risk their lives everyday for us get the help and support for their mental and physical health, he decided to take action.

This is what lead to the start of Strides for Service. So that through a community based, training style activity, we can raise funds to help those who help us!
